Support for Communities

Who We Serve

We're proud to call Liverpool home. One of Sydney's fastest-growing areas, Liverpool is a community rich in culture, resilience, and diversity — with more than half of residents speaking a language other than English at home, and a significant number of families who have recently arrived in Australia and are still finding their footing. But Liverpool is also a community where disadvantage is real and widespread. Many of Sydney's most vulnerable families live right here, and that's exactly why we're here too.

Everything we do is built around connecting with the people who need support most — and meeting them where they are.

Food & Financial Support

No one should go without food or a roof over their head. We collect food donations from volunteers, local businesses, and community members, and we're working to establish an ongoing partnership with Foodbank to ensure a reliable supply. Food is distributed directly to individuals and families living in poverty, with no red tape — just a respectful conversation and basic verification of need, such as a Centrelink benefit, low income health care card, or NDIS funding. We also provide financial assistance toward essential expenses like rent and medical costs, because sometimes what a family needs most is help getting through this week.

Health & Wellbeing

Good health shouldn't depend on your postcode or your income. We have a dedicated group of volunteer healthcare professionals — including doctors and nurses — who run free pop-up health clinics across Liverpool, offering health checks, information, and early identification of conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and depression that are all too common in communities facing financial hardship. These clinics also give us the chance to connect with families who may need additional support, whether that's food, counselling, or a referral to other services.

We also have a special place in our hearts for children living with severe illness — including cancer and genetic disorders. We fundraise to support these kids and their families, and work to raise awareness of the very real emotional and financial toll that caring for a seriously ill child can take. No family should face that journey feeling alone.

Substance Abuse Support

We know that behind many of the challenges people face — poverty, unemployment, family breakdown — substance abuse is often quietly present. While we don't run our own recovery programs, we've built relationships with trusted referral partners across Liverpool so that when one of our volunteers identifies someone who needs that kind of help, we can connect them to the right support quickly. Trust is everything in this work, and often it's through an ongoing relationship — over a food parcel or a health check — that someone feels safe enough to take that first step.

Employment & Small Business

One of the most powerful ways out of poverty is a steady income — and we believe in helping people build one. Our volunteers mentor young people who want to start their own business, guiding them through everything from registering the business and securing funding, to marketing, bookkeeping, and long-term growth. For those who have been out of work for an extended period, we offer practical support too: help with resumes, access to appropriate clothing for interviews, and the kind of one-on-one encouragement that can make all the difference when confidence is low.
